I only recommend places that our anglers/friends have stayed at and recommended to me:

B&B

Mrs Thompson 01746 718415 - Cox's Barn , Bagginswood, Near Cleobury Mortimer , DY14 8LS (will prepare an evening meal if required and I am told that the food here is very good)

Website

01299 402192 - Severn Valley Guest House , 240 Westbourne Street , Bewdley , DY12 1BS

Mrs Meredith 01746 718220 - Hardwicke Farm, Stottesdon, DY14 8TN.  (I have never been here but one of our anglers has highly recommended it to me.)  Website

SELF CATERING

Jill and John Price, 01299 269350 - The Old Barn, Lye Head, Bewdley, DY12 2UR.

(I heard about this place from a family that were here to celebrate two birthdays.  They couldn't get in to any of the places I recommended so found this themselves - what a find.  I have been to have a look and it is beautiful, the gardens are immaculate and there is a private garden to the barn.  The barn is very nicely laid out with a double bedroom and bathroom upstairs and lounge (sofa bed), kitchen and utility downstairs.) Website

LOG CABIN
Kim Simmonds, 01299 266525 -  Forest View Retreat, Chapel Lane, Callow Hill, Rock, Worcestershire, DY14 9XF.
Kim invited me around to view the accomodation - wow - I'd quite fancy staying here myself! There are two cabins, one with one double room and the other with two and an en-suite shower room. The bathrooms are huge with a spa bath and hydro massage shower and all the 'frillies' that you would expect in a smart hotel. Take a look at Kim's website for more information.
Guys if you want to earn some serious brownie points why not book a qualified beautician to treat your good lady to a massage, facial or manicure in the comfort of the log cabin whilst you sneak over to Furnace Mill Fishery for a spot of fishing!

HOTELS

Owners - Sean McGahern and Maxine Parker.

01299 266286 - The Royal Forester Country Inn , Callow Hill, Bewdley, Kidderminster , DY13 9XW . Very nice modern rooms, excellent breakfast, restaurant offers lunch and dinner for residents and non-residents. Good service and atmosphere. (We have had family parties and dined here and friends love to stay here whilst visiting us). Website

Owners – John & Norma King.

01746 861469 - The Bulls Head Inn , Chelmarsh, Bridgnorth, Shropshire , WV16 6BA . They offer en-suite rooms and also self-catering cottages. They have a bar and restaurant which is open to residents and non-residents.

We had a group of 10 friends stay here and they said that the rooms were very nice and the food was good.  I had a badminton match so didn't eat with them but by the time I got there they seemed to have sampled plenty of beer!!  I didn't get to meet Norma but John and the staff I did meet were all very helpful and friendly. Gainsborough House Hotel - 01562 820041 - Bewdley Hill, Kidderminster , DY11 6BS (I have not been here for a very long time but anglers have told me the accommodation is good) Website

CARAVAN/CAMPSITE

Mick Pound – 01299 266300. Yew Tree Farm Caravan Park , Pound Bank, Bewdley, Worcestershire , DY14 9TH .

(Far Forest Stores is the village shop just over the road with a post office inside and the Plough Inn is next door offering a great carvery or other menu options - oh yes and beer!)
