 What's here...

Our HFT ranges have been designed specifically for your enjoyment.
The targets are metal silhouettes of rooks, squirrels, rats, rabbits, pigeons, apes, deer, bears, wild boar and many more which fall over when hit in the correct area. They are easily re-set by pulling a cord from the firing position. The hit zone which causes the target to fall is 40mm or less in diameter.

Suitable clothing for the weather conditions is recommended. Please note this is a woodland environment so walking boots or other suitable footwear is required.

In the dry...

Our plinking range is fully covered so shooting can take place all year round and in any weather conditions. The range has a variety of targets along with paper targets set out at specific distances from 8 to 55 yards, in order to zero your rifle.

Designed by Ed, an experienced marksman himself, you have the option to shoot at benches or in a prone position.

A Chronograph is available to check your foot per pound level on your rifles.

Paper targets are replaced daily and a large variety of reset targets and bells are available to hone your skills.

Hunter Field Target Shooting

We have several courses so even on a busy competition day we will still be able to accommodate our highly valued day customers, so please don’t ever be put off from coming.

The courses are spacious, well laid out and well maintained and are very safe places to shoot. Furnace Mill has hosted many large competitions over the last 12 years and has received a lot of incredibly positive feedback.

The Legal Bit.....

The law makes no distinction between air rifles and more powerful guns for which you need a licence – they are all classed as firearms.

This means that any offence you commit can carry a very heavy penalty, and there are at least 38 different offences.

By following the BASC Air Rifle Code of Practice you should keep on the right side of the law, but, if you have any doubt, seek advice from BASC or your local police firearms licensing department.
We are registered firearms dealers with accounts with top manufacturers so are able to supply our customers with rifles at competitive prices.

Pellets, rifle slips, scopes, shooting mats and bags plus much more are available to buy in the shop.
Our fishing tackle and shooting shop has a variety of items at competitive prices.

Compressor

Our compressor is in operation every day so we are able to fill cylinders easily and in most cases while you wait.
